The ONE thing I wanted to do on our cruise was swim with dolphins! We ended up doing it in St. Lucia with the Royal Dolphin Swim because it was the cheapest excursion we found. It was still pretty expensive and we were really sad that we couldn’t take our own photos and had to pay for their photos. At that point though, I was willing to do whatever it took to get it documented! The pictures they took were amazing and the dolphins were all loved and well taken care of, so we were really happy with our choice!
Swimming with dolphins has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. Dolphins have always been one of my favorite animals and it was really special to be able to work with them and get to know more about them! They are highly intelligent and very loving and playful.
We got to play with Angela and Dante and they were the sweetest!! We got to cuddle them, kiss them, dance with them, and have a water fight! We also did this one crazy trick where you start out by floating on your stomach (superman position) and then the dolphins come up behind you and push you through the water by putting their noses on the bottom of your feet- then slowly you start lifting out of the water. It was nuts!! I also loved the dorsal-pull where you grab onto their fins and they start swimming through the water with you. I honestly could have spent 10 more hours with them. Matt and I felt like little kids in a candy store. I can’t wait to do it again!!
